    InfiniteFocusG6 is an accurate, fast and universal optical 3D measuring instrument for tolerances in the µm and sub-µm range. Components are measured area-based and with high resolution independent of size, material, geometry, weight and surface finish. A number of proven and new features combine the functionalities of a roughness measuring system (Ra, Rq, Rz/Sa, Sq, Sz) with the characteristics of a coordinate measuring machine. 

    InfiniteFocus is ideal for manufacturing. The robust Focus-Variation technology and the vibration-insensitive design ensure high-resolution and repeatable results, even directly next to the machine tool.

    A number of proven and new features combine the functionalities of a 

    roughness measuring system with the characteristics of a coordinate measuring machine:

    Icon MetMaX

    5-axes-metrology:
    The expansion from 3 to 5 axes allows measurements of geometries that are otherwise difficult or impossible to access. High-precision tilting and rotating axes enable the measurement of GD&T and roughness parameters on the entire measured object.

    Icon Real3D

    SmartFlash & Real3D:
    The integrated SmartFlash technology ensures high-resolution measurement of smooth, reflective and highly polished surfaces. Real3D turns individual measurements into a complete 360° data set.

    Icon 5-axes technology

    MetMaX user software
    Users specify measurements already in the CAD model of a component. A Digital Twin combined with a virtual measurement simulation enable safe operation of the measuring instrument.

    Vertical Focus Probing:
    The latest technology enables the optical, lateral probing of components. Users measure holes and vertical flanks (>90°).

    Smooth surface

    Thanks to Advanced Focus-Variation, users measure workpieces with steep flanks, varying reflections and structured roughness. The integrated SmartFlash technology ensures high-resolution measurements of smooth, reflective and highly polished surfaces.

    Bone screw

    By applying Real3D technology, users achieve full form measurements of a component (360°). Here, a direct comparison to the respective CAD data set is shown. In addition, roughness can be measured.

    InfiniteFocus G5plus, like InfiniteFocusG6, measures the shape and roughness of micro-precision components. The biggest difference between the two measuring instruments is the user software. With InfiniteFocusG6 and MetMaX measurements are already planned on the CAD model of the component, with InfiniteFocus G5plus measurement positions are defined on the real component.

    Measurement of flanks with more than 90°

    Vertical Focus Probing is an extension of the Focus-Variation technology and hence a pure optical measurement technology. It allows the measurement of surfaces with slopes of more than 90° and micro holes directly without articulating the sample during the measurement.

    Up to 500 million measurement points ensure a meticulously detailed measurement with tolerances in the μm and sub-μm range along with large working distance. The high measurement point density of Focus-Variation enables operators to gain a consistently high lateral and vertical resolution across high measurement volumes.

    Full form measurement with Real3D

    Using Real3D, users measure surfaces from numerous perspectives. Single measurements are automatically merged into a full 3D dataset. High-precision and calibrated rotation and tilt axes ensure automated, repeatable and traceable measurement on the whole measurement object.

    Pick & Place - Automated placing & measurement of components

    The measurement solution Pick & Place was presented at Advanced Engineering Show 2019 in the UK. Therefore the optical measurement system InfiniteFocus is extended with a collaborative robot to automatically pick, place, measure and sort (OK/ not OK) components in production.
